AGMP are pleased to present Ian McNabb live in concert with his new group Cold Shoulder.

Ian McNabb first rose to prominence with The Icicle Works in the early eighties and had UK top 40 hits with “Love is a wonderful colour”, “Birds fly”, “Hollow Horse”, “Seven Horses“, “When it all clomes down” and more. Their eponymously titled debut album was also a hit on both sides of the Atlantic, achieving gold record status in Canada. The Icicle Works released four albums between 1983 – 1988, all achieving top forty placing, until they broke up immediately after their swansong “Blind”.

Ian McNabb‘s solo career commenced in 1993 with “This way up” which was album of the year in Q Magazine. The follow up, 1994’s “Head like a rock“, was recorded with Neil Young‘s band Crazy Horse. The album reached the UK Top 40 and was nominated for that’s year’s Mercury Music Prize.

Ian joined Mike Scott from The Waterboys on tour in the late 1990’s and has since released a slew of great recordings such as “The Gentleman Adventurer” & “Before all of this“. The latter featured his most recent top 40 single “Let the young girl do what she wants to
