Philip Solari and Marinda Lavut are the rarest of things. The duo from Canada were discovered by two of the owners of the Montreal Jazz Festival busking on the streets outside the festival. The owners offered them a slot at the following years festival. The reception they received meant they caught the attention of super producer – Steve Brown (Laura Mvula/Rumer/Sarah Walk).

On hearing the duo’s early demos Steve flew them over from Canada to meet and then record them. They have now finished recording their debut album in the same West London studio that Laura Mvula and Rumer recorded their top 10 debut albums in.

They have bossa, they have Jazz, and they have great playing ability and its this playing ability and charm that sees them set to be 2016’s new groundbreaking acts.
