His music has been inspirational for generations of musicians – from David Bowie, Brian Eno, Iggy Pop, DEVO, Sonic Youth, Stereolab, U2, Autechre, Radiohead, Primal Scream, and beyond. Michael Rother was a member of Kraftwerk in 1971 and formed the legendary bands NEU! (with Klaus Dinger) and Harmonia (with Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius of Cluster) before releasing nine solo albums. Since the official re-release of the NEU! albums in 2001 Rother has played in many countries around the world and collaborated with numerous musicians and bands: John Frusciante, Secret Machines, Benjamin Curtis (School of Seven Bells), Josh Klinghoffer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, FM Einheit (ex Einstürzende Neubauten), Paul Weller and Boxed In – to name only a few. In 2010 Michael Rother formed the live project Hallogallo 2010 with Steve Shelley (drums, Sonic Youth) and Aaron Mullan (bass, Tall Firs). Together they played numerous acclaimed concerts – e.g. at ATP festivals in the UK, Spain and the USA. For his 2012 tour to Australia, Michael Rother invited Dieter Moebius (Cluster, Harmonia) and Hans Lampe (La Düsseldorf) to accompany him. In Melbourne, Michael Rother collaborated live with Sophie Brous, Shags Chamberlain (Lost Animal) and Mick Harvey (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) and also played guitar for Beaches on two tracks of their album “She Beats”. Between 2012 and 2016, Michael Rother toured many European countries as well as Russia, China and Japan. He also created film scores for two feature films. “Houston” by German director Bastian Günther was premiered at the legendary Sundance Film Festival and has since won several awards. “The Robbers” by Frank Hoffmann/Pol Cruchten, a multi-national film production, was premiered at the Max Ophüls Film Festival in Saarbrücken, Germany, in January 2015. 14s – 17s must be accompanied by an adult RUSTY EGAN Rusty-Egan-Adam-Szigeti---lores Rusty Egan Presents ” Welcome to the dancefloor ” via www.undorecords.com is scheduled for release end of Sept featuring Guests Peter Hook and Tony Hadley and more Latest Remix Shapers of the 80s
