TIME OUT LONDON
“Ritual is a long-overdue West London club night, and it was a pleasure to appear at the launch. Here’s hoping it grows from strength to strength”
GREG WILSON (DJ)
After the success of its first three sold-out events, Ritual returns to west London for a fourth instalment this month showcasing more outstanding dance music ranging from electronica to Drum and Bass to hip-hop and electro Swing. This instalment will see sets from electronic dance duo Plump DJs; British Drum and Bass legend, DJ Zinc; XFM presenter Eddy Temple-Morris and infamous party starters The Correspondents, here they are:
Plump DJs are self-admitted suckers for bass and ‘the groove’ Gardner&Rous fuse Electro-House, Rave, Acid, Breakbeat and Techno into their own unique style they call ‘Plump Music’. The guys have collaborated with artists such as Gary Numan, Orbital, Fatboy Slim and Deadmau5 and will undoubtedly tear the roof off Under The Bridge this June.
Also heading to Ritual is British Drum and Bass and house DJ/producer DJ Zinc, who will be bringing his blistering sounds to the crowds of West London for a very special set. Expect depth-charged bass, crystal-tipped breaks and memorable, mysterious night-world melodies galore.
DJ and TV presenter Eddy Temple-Morris hosts ‘The Remix’, XFM’s biggest specialist dance-rock crossover show and has given acts such as Kasabian, Sub Focus, Justice, Plan B and 2ManyDJs their first airplay, he has supported The Prodigy, Pendulum and Delays on their tours across the UK, expect some superb sonic slicing and dicing on the Ritual decks!
Buzzy electro duo The Correspondents create musical mayhem wherever they go and are famed for their crazy electro mash ups that collide every type of genre from Drum and Bass to Blues, Jazz and Electro. The dynamic duo have played at some of the biggest worldwide events including the likes of Glastonbury, Bestival, Kendal Calling, Secret Garden Party and The Big Chill. We welcome them!
Ritual’s stunning stately home is Under the Bridge, the jewel in the crown of West London venues, uniquely stylish, purpose-built with the highest attention to detail and featuring state of the art sound and lighting, offering a much needed addition to London’s new emerging club scene already a major player’s destination unlike any other in the capital.
Ritual is a monthly night from the team behind The Music League and last April’s massive Leftfield & Friends show at Brixton Academy with Booka Shade (live), Laurent Garnier, M.A.N.D.Y, and James Zabiela. Championing the best in electronic music and forward-thinking line-ups in an area of London which has historically only catered for a mainstream crowd.
An essential game-changer for London’s ever flourishing electronic and house music scene; an utterly unique and memorable clubbing experience awaits.
