The PB UNDERGROUND (PBU), led by drummer extraodinaire Pete Ray Biggin, are the leading lights of the New Wave of Funk. They were nominated Best Live UK Show Of The Year for the Jazz FM Awards. The band will be launching the release of their highly anticipated their album at this special gig at “Under the Bridge”. A dirty funk megariff that has been driving audiences wild at recent live performances – notably in Spring 2012 when they were chosen by funk legends Tower of Power to open at their sellout show at Camden’s Koko. “This was a slick amalgam of funk and jazz riffing, loose enough to attract people who appreciate improvised music, and funky enough to satisfy a heritage funk audience. Biggin more than lived up to his cult drummer reputation” – Stephen Graham, Jazzwise. Support act: LONDON GROOVE London Groove is a band bringing together a diverse mix of sounds and a revolutionary new sound to the funk/ jazz genre. Accompanied by deep groove of Moyses dos Santos feat Michael Davies, NK (The Voice) and Scarlett steward! Here’s a taste from their last gig
