Under the Bridge were honoured to host two warm-up shows for the mightily talented Rufus Wainwright earlier this month. The dates – which sold out in a matter of hours – were scheduled as appetisers ahead of his first tour with a full band (eight strong, no less) in four years.

Backed by hugely talented musicians in their own right, including Teddy Thompson and Krystle Warren, the Canadian-American singer-songwriter – son of folkies Kate McGarrigle and Loudon Wainwright III – previewed songs from the album ‘Out Of The Game’.

The new, more dance-oriented release has been well received by critics, and tunes from it were warmly appreciated by a captivated crowd including his current producer, Mark Ronson.
