Under the Bridge picked up the coveted Best Venue award at this year’s Live UK Music Business Awards. Nominated in the Best Venue Teamwork Club (cap below 800) category, Under the Bridge saw off fierce competition to secure another award to add to its already significant haul. Other winners on the night included The Who frontman Roger Daltrey, who was awarded Outstanding Contribution to Music, and Biffy Clyro, who picked up the Best Festival Performance award for their show at the Reading Festival.
Now in its fourth year, the Live UK Music Business Awards is the only event committed to presenting awards to the business people who drive the country’s contemporary live music industry and the awards recognise excellence and talent among promoters, venue operators, festival organisers and agents, through to artiste managers, tour managers, show producers, brand impact and record label partnerships.
“This award is acknowledgement for all the hard work and effort we’ve invested in the venue since its inception in 2011” commented Creative Manager Alan Tenenbaum. “We’ve known from the start that UTB is one of the country’s best live music venues and it’s great that the rest of the industry are in agreement”.
