Two New Gigs Announced for UTBX5 Anniversary

We’ve just announced details of the next two gigs set to take place as part of ‘UTBX5’, a five concert series to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Under the Bridge.

Coming up on Sunday April 17th is vintage soul man LEON BRIDGES, who’ll bring his cool blend of soul and gospel to UTB for the very first time. Having been compared to the likes of Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke, this will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the year.

Tickets for Leon Bridges are £10 and go on sale on Wednesday April 13th at 10am. They are available from www.DICE.fm with all proceeds going to the Musicians without Borders charity.

The following day we’ll be welcoming another artist whose star continues to rise, 24-year-old singer-songwriter JACK GARRATT. Quite possibly the most hotly-tipped artist in the country right now, Garratt was winner of the Brits critics’ choice award and the BBC Sound of 2016 poll and performs an intimate show for us ahead of his career-defining UK tour in the autumn.

During its short existence, Under the Bridge has established itself as one of the leading live music venues on the London circuit, having presented shows from some of the biggest acts in the world, won numerous industry awards, partnered with the likes of Channel 4, BBC Radio 2, Heart and XFM, hosted events for NME the MOBOs, the Classical BRITs and Q magazine and, perhaps most importantly, garnered the respect of the industry and built a reputation amongst bands and artists as one of the capital’s must-play venues.

Alan Tenenbaum, Creative Manager, Under the Bridge:

“We’ve enjoyed some incredible live performances at Under the Bridge over the last five years and I hope with these fifth anniversary concerts, and with the work we do at the venue in the future, that we can continue to make a positive, worthwhile contribution to the live music scene in the UK.”

Laura Hassler, Founder & Director – Musicians without Borders:

“Over the past sixteen years, Musicians without Borders has organized successful music projects in current and post conflict regions in the Balkans, the Middle East, Central Africa and the EU. We work closely with local musicians and organizations to build sustainable projects in response to local needs. We are delighted to be teaming up with Under the Bridge for this hugely exciting series of shows, which will provide much-needed financial support to the work we are doing around the world.”
