In 2019 Blurred Vision frontman and singer/songwriter Sepp Osley founded the ‘Dear John’ Concert in aid of War Child UK. The charity is dear to Sepp having escaped war torn Iran as a young child himself in the late 80’s. The John Lennon tribute concert has now become a globally celebrated annual event, with the 2nd annual concert reaching an international audience in 2020.
From Rolling Stone to Reuters, coverage of the 2nd annual concert brought fans from around the world to watch major artists perform and take part in the online show. Read more about the story here – Rolling Stone.
This year’s live concert, after 2 years away from a live audience due to the pandemic, will be held at Under The Bridge in Chelsea on 26th September, and filmed and recorded for global airing on 9th October 2021, John Lennon’s 81st birthday. Some of the UK’s hottest acts will be taking part performing John Lennon/The Beatles songs in celebration of the iconic musician. From chart topping artist Judie Tzuke to Scott Matthews (currently on tour with Robert Plant), the night will be an eclectic mix of incredible musicianship and camaraderie, as artists come together to pay tribute to the legendary Beatle.
