January Blues Festival presents

+ special guest support: DEBORAH BONHAM

Bernie Marsden is an English Blues-Rock guitarist. In the early 70’s Bernie was the guitarist for hard rock outfit UFO before becoming an original member of Paice, Ashton & Lord in 1977. After PAL split up, Bernie joined David Coverdale in the newly formed Whitesnake, helping to establish the band as one of the most successful live rock bands in the world. In 1982 Bernie co-wrote the multi-million selling hit ‘Here I Go Again’ before leaving Whitesnake to form Alaska.

‘Shine’, is the most recent album by Bernie Marsden. Although Marsden was wary of flooding the credits with too many special guests, ‘Shine’ does feature some extremely well-known names, from Joe Bonamassa to Whitesnake singer David Coverdale and Deep Purple.

Her debut release under the name of Debbie Bonham was 1985’s “For You and the Moon” on Carrere Records. The album reached #5 in the charts and became Radio 1 DJ Simon Bates’ “Record of the Week”.

Deborah Bonham has toured and performed with Robert Plant, Van Halen, Ann Peebles, Paul Rodgers, Humble Pie, Foreigner, Bad Company, Ozzy Osbourne, Nazareth, Jools Holland and Stax Records legend Steve Cropper.

Her latest album ‘Spirit’ hosts a classic mix of Country, Blues, Rock, and Soul and has met with critical acclaim with such superlatives as “simply stunning”. Mixed and mastered in Nashville, it features a very special guest appearance from Robert Plant.
