*TIMINGS* Doors 7pm Keir 8pm Leon Bridges 9pm Curfew 11pm Under the Bridge is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a series of high profile gigs featuring some of the biggest names in music! Coming up on Sunday April 17th is vintage soul man Leon Bridges, who’ll bring his cool blend of soul and gospel to UTB for the very first time. It seemed as though Leon Bridges came out of nowhere. From Fort Worth, Texas, his debut EP was a timeless collection of heartfelt blues that caught us off guard. Recalling the classics of Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and even a little Marvin Gaye, he croons with the confidence of an old-timer on tracks like Coming Home, while Better Man has the aural aesthetic of a rare, dusty, lucky vinyl find. Releasing debut album Coming Home last summer, it’s sunsoaked heat eased from tracks like a dusky sunset. And live, Bridges is nothing short of masterful. Playing up close and personal at one of London’s most exciting small venues, this will be a mesmerising night. Tickets will be available on Wednesday 13 April at 10am from www.dice.fm and all proceeds will go to Musicians without Borders. Click for more info on Under the Bridge’s fifth anniversary celebration!
